Award-winning photographer David Guttenfelder, has made a dozen trips into North Korea since 2000, trying to capture the country as accurately as possible for outsiders. He is based in Tokyo but makes frequent trips to North Korea to run the Associated Press bureau in Pyongyang, capturing this set of photos which offer a rare glimpse into the everyday life of its citizens.
